Self-Medicated
When we were little
we played a game
called Doctor
where
she would dress up and
I would play sick and
she'd give me pills to make me better.
We grew up, though, and grew apart.
I don't play Doctor anymore,
but she still does.
Only now,
she plays doctor and
she plays patient
Only now,
when
she gets sick and
she gets medicine
she doesn't get better
and we never get to play Doctor
anymore
