I Never Told You
Although we never said it to each other
I think we both knew
Maybe that’s why its so hard
Going on, pretending, I don’t know something I do
But denying and ignoring the stuff that was real
Isn’t the way that I wanted this to go
We could’ve gone slow
We could’ve gone fast
I just wanted something
Something with you to last
I told myself I had option
You weren’t the only one
And no matter how true that might’ve been
Deep down, you were the only one
You kind of light up my world
In an unfamiliar way
You’re shining through
I don’t know what to do
I can’t let myself shine
The way that you do
Your eyes draw me in
Like sparkling sapphire
Your smile makes me weaker
But you make me stronger
When I hear you talking to me
Blank I go
Now I can’t breathe
So incase you don’t understand
Why I can’t live and pretend
It’s because you’re different
Because you don’t know
I’ve never told
But you’ve never told me
Even though I want you to
You don’t have to
I already know
And for now
That’s how it’s going to be
