Help.
he's drowning in a sea of guilt
the waves of shame topple over him
he catches his breath, then loses it again
as the currents of fear threaten to kill him
that blue, peaceful looking ocean
that one, innocent looking lie
he knows now that they are more dangerous than they seem
learned that the hard way, he
swim and try to ignore
the hopelessness swimming circles around him
he focuses on the shore
hoping it will bring him peace
but finally the waves catch him and he begins to submerge
so he let out his last fateful cry
if anyone at all had heard him, no one came,
as he cried out his last "help"
