Purple Mountain Majesty

When I look up at the mountains,
and I see the snow-capped tops;
When I feel the refreshing breeze
running down the hill-side;
When I imagine scaling the endless heights,
and reaching the peak;
When I smell the spring flowers
growing in the shadow of the mountains,
I stand awestruck by the ancient majesty
residing in these slopes,
and the mountains’ silent, yet spoken, rule
over the entire valley below.
