The Word of a Hurt Nerd
I’ve been called a lot of things
Nerd
Geek
Book worm
You know the norm
Before I used to brush it off
Oh it’s nothing
That’s what I would tell myself
Well I’m done
Every little thing said
It may seem harmless to you
You’ll forget about it in five minutes
But me
I won’t
Every time you say it I count
To me it tallies up how perfect
I’m not
Every word
Is to me another inch
No a mile
Away I am from having friends
You think it’s so harmless
Well it doesn’t do anything to you
But to me
Every hurtful comment
Is another hammer blow
At my self confidence
I build up walls to protect myself
But I'm not that strong
And every wall I build
Is weaker than the last
I won’t hold up much longer
I can’t hold up much longer
I try to scream out for help
But I might as well be screaming out
In space
You do this all to me
But for what
Were you bullied?
Hurt
Crushed by someone else’s words
Than you know my pain
So why are you hurting me?
You can end my pain right now
And it wouldn’t be much work for you
Actually it would be less work for you
You have the power to end it
So then why don’t you?
