As I Stand
As I stand alone, my fears come alive.
As I stand up, no one arrives.
As I stand weak, everything is misconstrued.
As I stand true, I am here without you.
As I stand in the dark, beams of light peer in from the cracks in the walls.
As I stand damned, I realize it's one for all.
As I stand here, my mind is lost.
As I stand above, I see the paths I have crossed.
As I stand forgotten, I try to make amends.
As I stand abused, I find out what it's like to transcend.
