A World of Fire

It is a globe of flames,
This place has many names;
The planet is a pyre,
In a world of fire.
Life has been here before,
Now there is only gore;
The situation is dire,
In a world of fire.
They said there was no need to worry,
That you didn’t have to hurry:
To just sit and play a lyre,
In a world of fire.
We did this to ourselves,
Not mystical elves;
Our time will soon expire,
In a world of fire.
This planet needs rebirth,
For it is Earth;
They were a liar,
In a world of fire.
