I wonder why life is so hard,
May be because i got dealt an awful card,
When i was little i use to throw coins in the wishing well,
But now all i see is white walls kinda like a prison cell,
I can't do things that i did before,
But it's been so long i really don't care anymore,
My life has been passing me by,
But i did this to myself now all i can do is cry,
I want to know what is stopping me,
From being successful and being who i want to be,
Drugs have messed me over with everything,
Now i realize what they did for me was NOTHING,
The sun is beautifully shining and i hear the birds sing,
I've finally been saved and taken under god's wing,
I've never enjoyed the sunshine and the wind,
But i do now, now that this battle is coming to an end.
