When I look at You
When I look at you
I think it just can’t be
That the pain in your eyes is far too real
That we’re really over with and done.
When I look at you
Everything hurts again
And I feel so dead inside.
When I look at you
All I can do is cry
While my heart
Splinters apart to nothing.
When I look at you
All I can see
Is the boy I fell in love with from the start
The one who saved me from nothingness
And how happy we once were.
When I look at you
I see every lie you ever spoke to me
Every word that hurt me so.
When I look at you
I can’t help but think
Of what could have been
And I can’t help but hope
That we could go back to before
Without all of the pain.
When I look at you
I see what we were together
And what you left me with
When you decided to let us die.
