Darkness
Can we just stop for a moment
and soak in the inky blackness
Relishing in the dark
instead of suffocating from the lack of colors
And can we trace our fingers
along the healing scars of our past strifes
instead of pulling sweaters over them
Covering up the inner being
Foolishly fearing that darkness will overcome us
When black runs through our veins
and forms a murky haze in our membranes
And can we just accept
That nobody is entirely light colors
Or bright colors at all
For clouds hover above each of our backs
Weeping raindrops of loneliness
And demons sit on our shoulders
Begging to be understood
By those that fear them
Yet those that fear them, create them
