I am from never give up and
Lift your head and conquer all you want
I am from discussions and arguments every day
And “I wash the dishes and made my bed”
I am from failing first grade but
Learn from my mistakes being better each day

I am from eating jalapenos with all my food
You know it; if it's not spicy, it's not good
I am from drawing and loving art
And value my family and love with my heart
I am from eating Takis makes it fun
“When you have a problem, solve it, don't run”

I am from constantly making mistakes
A father telling me “Perseverance is all it takes”
I am from a mom that is always there for me
Encouraging that I can be all I want to be
I am from always doing my best
Something I learn in life is
I was born for success
