If She Would Have Said No
If Cassie would have said no, she’d still be alive.
She would have told the story, start to finish,
She would have betrayed her beliefs, left them.
If she said no, only sixteen would be dead.
If she said no, she would have let down God.
If she said no, she wouldn’t be a martyr.
There would be no memorial for her last word.
There would be no legacy if she said no.
She would have told the biggest lie known to man.
And she would do it all over again.
