Like A Puppet
I struggle against your coiled wires.
Like a puppet,
I struggle against you.
You push,
pull,
twist
and turn.
Yanking - you control my limbs.
Your stare sends my mouth to stitches
and makes my intestines tremble.
Lungs fight to push air through my lips,
yet they hold strong like a wall.
Breathe through my bricks, love.
Or do you prefer marble?
Sturdier.
Colder.
Cold like your black heart, Mother.
Cold like your fingertips.
