Goodbye my Friend

When I found you
You were sick
One eye could see,not two
Who would have known how much you'd stick.

The name for you fit so well
Cause an Angel was what you were
When you died, my heart fell
And everything became a blur

You helped me forget about my dad
You helped all my tears go away
Cause around you, nobody could be sad
Oh how I wish you could stay

I love you so
Please don't forget it
Even though you had to go
You will always keep my heart lit

Thank you so much
For being there when I needed you
Thank you so much
For everything you used to do

I don't want this to be the end
I don't want you to die
But all I can say is Goodbye my friend
And think to myself "Why?"

Yes, this is about a dog and before you guys laugh at me, know that she was my best friend and it hurts to loose her.

This is really sweet, and nobody should find this funny. I cry over all my animals, And im not embrassed after a day or so i get so attached to them, Anyway what a sweet poem sorry for your lost<3!!

I have a 13 year old english bulldog/sharpe mix that is my best friend. Your poem is really good! My dog is old and due any day now. I know how I will feel when he does.

i understand exactly how you feel; no one is laugh. i had my dog for 17 almost 18 years...he was my brother; and it is a really well wrote poem! love it.
