The Death Poem
What do you think happens after you die?
Your life left behind like the trace of a sigh
No more blood flowing, mind reeling, heart beating
Just that last moment, then you begin meeting
Death, the Other Side, and possibly God
You learn that you're dead and you think, "how odd"
One minute you were standing on that road in Manhattan
Then the bus came and you felt yourself flatten.
