Memory Loss
I close my eyes to finally see
The better half of me
I try so hard to remember the past
But my memories never seem to last
I close my eye and see your face
But you don't seem to have a place
I wish it wasn't so painful for my heart
To not know why we are apart
How can I miss something I don't recall
Yet it somehow seems to be my downfall
I try so hard to stay away
But with you is where I want to stay
Maybe for now I should let the fates decide
And to the blackness my secrets to confide
