Colors of the Sky
When stars come out,
The sky becomes a rainbow.
I wave hello at my friends,
And their smiles reflect in my eyes.
They spin across the horizon,
Making the planets dance in place.
Blue changes to green,
And pink changes to purple.
It is a happy place.
We talk for a while,
But then there is a new light behind the trees.
I am sad,
But they promise to be here again.
I watch the lights flicker
Until the sky becomes lonely.
I wonder if the lights are on some other planet,
Listening to a girl
Just like me.
