Play Pretend
I cry a tear
For everything bad ive ever done
I hope my fear
Won't destroy me, and everyone
That I care for
Because underneath this undying sorrow
I see the promise of tomorrow
It is bleak
It has no merit
But when those you love see your tears
Feel your pain
They look at you plain
Unchanging
Who am I?
To make them feel what I feel?
When all I must do
Is put on a smile
And play pretend for a while
