Yearbook
Something that brings back memories
of dances, parties, pep rallies, and good times.
You look at how young your classmates were
and how they have changed.
They also transport you back to that time
when you were young and reckless.
You get to reflect on your actions
and how they made you who you are today.
And let us not forget the autographs.
Signatures, messages, farewells, etc.
Everyone writing positive things in your book
and you are doing the same.
But to me, a yearbook is just that,
a book.
Just a bunch of paper with photos of children.
Fake smiles in those posed pictures,
trying to make the school look warm and welcoming.
But a yearbook is only a book of a year of your life.
