Coin-Operated Girl
I'm a coin-operated girl
Painted heart within
My skin as green as sin
A soldier in the shelf space
A fathomable toy of manic, stoic glee
The neighbors thin
Rotting from within
Eyes of marble stone
My ruby lip is quivering but
Exercising strength with auto-pilot joy
Am I a coin-operated girl?
Rich of hollow longing
Following the headlines
But they'll never let her go. No
They'll never hate alone. No
And she will never let it go
Who is this coin-operated girl?
Her morals pinned on plastic
Fingernails stapled to the bone
The weapon of mass destruction
Eating through her hand
But as a coin-operated girl
The enemy's not leaving
But will chaos leave her be
But will she drown or will she breathe
She will never be alone. No
Emotions to rent but never own. No
