Distance
From my friends and family I feel a growing distance
If I decided to leave I'm sure there would be no resistance
If tomorrow I were to die
I'm sure that nobody would care or cry
I play no part in the lives of others
I sit and in my own isolation I smother
No special someone would shed a tear
No friends hold me dear
Friends I used to have drifted away
Telling me about all their wonderful day
I'm sure they do this to be polite
And really all they feel for me is just spite
That girl whos company they keep
Just to laugh at, but to be discreet
