The Key To Happiness
It begins with a never-ending crush
With moments too soon, him making you blush
Crafted in his voice, promises of love
Childish & dumb, lies off of his tongue
But accepted nonetheless as he continued to show
That he obviously didn't think that no meant NO
As time progress, he continued to sneak
Always thinking that you'd never speak
Oh yes, the words that escaped your lips
How it started as a peck, but he widened the kiss
You'd pull away, but he'd yank you back
Against his body, your mind fading black
You refuse to remember what he did before
His hand down your pants, you still ignore
At first you didn't mind, then you refused
But all was in vain as he continued to pursue
It didn't matter that it went against what you believed
He said he loved you, so why would you leave?
He said you promised to accept him for who he was
No matter how disturbing his desires were of
He's starting to blame you for breaking his heart
After you told him that it was time to part
Guilt drains you of all of your energy
As he asks you, "How much do you want me?"
You want to say, "None, we're over,"
But your mind goes numb, heart beats slower
Instead you don't respond & remember his eyes
Full of greed & selfish desires as he fed you lies
& no matter how much you try, you'll never forget
That there's no such thing as the key to happiness
