Effervescence
To be able to join in the blind effervescence of others would be a gift. Sadly I live in the darkness of harsh reality and depression. Oh how it stings! To see the smile of a young child and feel no warmth, no comfort in the brightness of today but rather the bleakness of the shadows. The plague of depression the malady of despair lives inside me. Growing, growing, growing. Growing to destroy me, to hate to hate. To hate life, to hate the smile on a young child's face. For the innocence of that child angers me as that smile will be dissolved by the world. The undeniable fact that the world turns everyone sour, it's whether or not we show it that makes a difference to others.
