You are gone,
But my heart is still beating.
Your presence is dust,
But I'm still whole.
I'm gonna stand.
Tears will fal.,
But I'm going to stand for you,
Because you never stopped,
So neither will I.

The author's comments:
My grandmother died. We were pretty close. She got epilepsy when she was my age. You wouldn't have known. Even when it was hard for her to get around she just kept chugging along. She's one of my role models. This is what inspired this poem one day when I was thinking about her.
