Water
as far as the eye can see
on this lake
just you and me

Silence is golden
or so they say
but it's almost tangible
on this very day

The ripples in the water
the birds in the air
how could gold
quite compare

The wind dances 'round me
so loose and free
It's just perfection
can't you see

The lapping of water
against the rocks
the sound of geese
running amok

The pebbles and branches
still have a sound
just waiting and waiting
to be found

The barren tree
of winter you see
has one little acorn
a telling of spring

Water
as far as the eye can see
on this lake
just you and me
