Too different
I'm skinny and I'm pale
I'm lanky and I'm frail
Half my family's
Ben to jail
I'm too weak
To drive a nail
I'm different than
My other kin
Both on the out
And the in
My mother
Loud and daring
My father
Angry and crude
Both never very smart
Both very, very rude
My parents got divorced
Dad now that's twice
Mom married three
Third wedding,
Slipped on ice
They both were OK students
Never really great
But here I am
Changed from them
I'm different than the rest
I have an older sister
Who's already been to jail
Once
Twice
More
My younger brother
Whos scared of the dark
And gets in more trouble
Even more
I
On the other hand
Am different from them
I make always
God grades
Never below a B
Not that I get noticed
Not that they will see
I'm more intelligent
Than they care to notice
Or recognize..
