Breaking Your Blue
Breaking Your Blue:
You stand there with a timid smile on your face, an eyebrow arched and eyes gazing into mine.
The red fire in your eyes burn right through my soul.
As if my nails digging into the skin of your arm isn’t enough.
Like a hungry lion and its motivation to kill its prey, that’s me to you.
You stand there and laugh in my face with that smirky-devilish grin, even though I’m laughing at the same things that are blind to you.
You grip the hem of your sweatshirt taking your eyes off of me for a sec and pull it up, revealing it.
I wished you hadn’t reminded me.
That grizzly scar, covering your abdominal, out in the open for all to see.
And I hate you even more, and more, and more for it.
You know this, you know and live off my hatred toward you.
But how I’ve got the right anecdote that smells of revenge.
As if you’d suspect anything; which you won’t.
Ha! your grin fades as realization comes to you.
Here I am breaking your blue.
