Sinking
Walking on life's pebbled path
The pebbles cut deep
Make my feet bleed
Staining the path with red
I'm at a stand still
Trying to keep moving
But this brick wall
Prevents my legs from working
I'm sinking deeper and deeper
Into the pebbled path
My feet can't breathe
Now I'm in it up to my knees
My hips
My waist
My shoulders
My neck
I'm sinking fast
But no one comes to save me
And I don't know how to save myself
As my head sinks under,
I begin to scream a silent scream
My eyes poke out,
Up above the other side
And I see the clouds
Swimming in the crystal lined ocean of the sky
