How can something seem so perfect then turn out so wrong?
Why does it seem that all of these bad things happen to me?
Why can’t I find someone who will be true to me?
How Come when I give someone my heart, they drop it?
Why do they break my glass heart?
How many times have I tried, and how many times have I failed?
They always say it’s not my fault, if that’s true then why did we start at all?
When I give my heart away I expect one in return.
All I usually get is burned.
I wish I could say, from here on, this will come to a stop.
I will no longer be heartbroken no matter how bad it hurts.
I will become resilient to pain and to hurt and to strife.
Never again will I let a girl make me cry.
But no matter what happens to this glass heart I will stay true.
I will feel pain, brokenness, and rejection
But I know there is someone out there who will take care of me.
Me, and my glass heart.
