Painting of abuse
Crimson drips into a haze of black and blue,
a canvas full of hidden secrets.
Spots of gray like the sunless days,
a way to show sorrow.
Speckles of yellow and green for the dwindling hope,
she keeps locked deep inside her broken heart.
To any person it may seem insignificant,
a blend of colors without purpose,
but the painter captured an abusers wrath perfectly.
She's keeping her secret locked into the pigment of paint,
hoping someone will see her cry for help.
