Full-Bellied and Fast Asleep
This world, to me
Is a faithless black hole
Tearing our skin we've sewn
But don't you let go.
This roof to me
Is the roof of the same home
A home without a door
So come through the window
But these clouds to me
Are just like a mirror on the wall
A mirror without a soul
So we'll never know
I'm okay with that
If it keeps the beast happy
Full-bellied and fast asleep
Let's leave him in peace
