Swiftly Death Does Come
Swiftly Death does come in the dark of night.
There's not a single soul that does not crash.
The drums bang silently yet with much might.
No man has ever lived through his life right.
In the end of their time, each man acts rash.
Swiftly Death does come in the dark of night.
The room of requirements does seem tight.
Against stone walls every man's head does bash.
The drums bang silently yet with much might.
There is no use in putting up a fight,
Through a man's body Death goes, with a slash.
Swiftly Death does come in the dark of night.
Sooner or later the end is in sight.
Life flashes before their eyes in a mash.
The drums bang silently yet with much might.
Through all this all I do is sit and write,
And wear these words like some protective sash.
Swiftly Death does come in the dark of night,
The drums bang silently yet with much might.
