Living In A Dream
I drank out of the cup,
Of desperate loneliness,
My soul a running tap,
Of unyielding despair.
Pain of the abandoned,
Weighing me down,
My struggles no use,
Against depressions iron grip.
Why would you hurt me,
Leave me alone,
If you truly cared,
You wouldn't rub me so raw.
It hurts to speak,
I cannot utter a sound,
For there are no voices,
When you are all alone.
People start to blend,
Life meaningless and gray,
That is what happens,
When you are living in a dream.
