Little girl promises

How could he do it?
His little girl cried each night begging for her daddy to be alive with her
Her dad he died from an overdose of drugs
Her dad he didn't think
All he wanted was the drugs
And now the sweet little girl is seventeen and she has promised her mother that she would never do drugs like her dad
But she will always love him
