Shout or Whimper
Unmarked pieces
Of pale white shine
Beautiful temptation
Like a peaceful mind
Twitch of hope
Flicker of fear
I know not to
But I chose not to hear
Please don't judge this
Please don't throw your stones
So brash and cold
Grey and obscure
I hold my hand open
But it's selfish and impure
Selfish yes
Oh hauntingly so
I need something, someone
But no one will show
I'm here when you need me
I'm here when you don't
But I have no one to help this
Help my lack of hope
Can someone see
Can someone hear
My mind is screaming
My mind is practically sheer
Still I'm ignored
Only seen when needed
I'm the ever helpful friend
I'm the lonely queer
Please look at my words
And don't assume so quickly
Words have more meaning
Than a dollar fifty
This is my breakthrough
My way of a crying shout
Because no one can save me
I have to crawl out
