What Do You See?
When you look at me, do you really see me?
When you stare do you know what you are looking for?
Do you see the scars that have taken years to heal?
Do you see the tears that have yet to dry?
Do you think about who I am or where I came from?
None of these questions need an answer.
The answer is clear.
You only see a face, a body, something to pay attention to.
You see the wall that I have built.
You don't see me.
You will never see me.
You won't even try.
