A Beautiful Hell
A beautiful hell that falls down from the sky
A blood orange light at the edge of my door
Illuminate all the proud young who will die
All that is falling blood red on the floor
Led by their elders like cattle to buy
So far from home and so eager for war
Prancing and pawing they never ask
Why
I sit cross-legged behind unlocked doors
Waiting
Though my blood won’t run home
Anymore.
