Our Home
Has it ever crossed our minds,
That the earth is trying to tell us something.
When an earthquake strikes,
Or a volcano erupts.
We are the ones to blame,
For the earths misfortunes.
The polar ice caps melting,
A sign of global warming.
We are destroying our home,
Bit by bit.
What happens when there’s nothing left,
When we’ve used all of its resources.
What happens then,
What we consider natural disasters.
Could be earth warning us,
That it can’t take it any longer.
Has it ever crossed our minds,
That we should listen.
This is our home,
And without it we have nothing.
Next time disaster strikes,
Think about what the earth is trying to say.
