I Am The Champion
I stand with pride,
The crowd cheering,
Heart pounding to the claps,
I step on the mat,
Head held high,
Acerbic,
Focused,
Farcical,
The adrenaline tolerated me,
We shake hands,
And the battle begins,
Left, right, up, down,
My body belligerent but strong,
My lungs gassed but I still work,
My face apathetic but I fight hard,
The whistle blows,
I stand with pride,
Low of oxygen,
The last round passes at last,
I stand with pride,
But my wrist is not raised,
I have lost the scathing battle,
But though I have lost,
I am treated like the hero,
And though I have lost,
I Am The Champion.
