I Love My Cheetah
Miles of open planes lie before your eyes
Your feet leave the ground, body brushing skies
In glory, an unforgettable rush of being free
Comes to you, as you run away from me
In angst I wait, as my friend leaves me now
Hoping for your return, someday, somehow
For you to be with me, us standing side by side
I’d never think take you from your world and glory ride
For many moments I spent thinking of what to do
How many days I handle of fasting from you
A cheetah is a gift, for even moments just to see
And for a girl to know one, in heaven she could be
Not many I am friends with, even less I say I love
But ones that I do, I’m always thinking of
After all they say, “If you love it let it go”
“if it does return” only then you will know…
You’re a cheetah; you are so strong and proud
And I promise I will wait for you, if you desire such a crowd
After all, I’ll always love you, away or right here
Know that breathtaking cheetah; I hope it’s always clear
