I wait for you,
and ache for you.
Do you notice my slowly breaking heart?

Every smile on my face
is fake
unless I'm thinking
of you,
or seeing you,
or talking to you.

I hurt everyday
just waiting for you
to notice me as more
than just a friend.

I wait for you,
and ache for you,
but waiting can only last so long.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece for my best friend/the guy I really like. I hope people who might be in my shoes get the strength to move on and stop waiting.

Actually, I can totally relate to this poem. It's fantastic... Keep up the good work, and I'm ultra positive you'll find the strength you need to move on. Time strengthens everyone.

Hm... I really like this. The simplicity, the feeling of desperation; it's short and to the point, which is the poetic style I love. I feel as though, you probably could've used more simile and more complex words to describe your emotions, but that's not major. Good job with this.
