The Little Girl and The Butterfly
Delicate wings are forming,
Love is growing.
The caterpillar is in the tree,
Wondering what it'll be.
The little girl watches it grow,
So much she needs to know.
Her mother stands at her side,
Telling her that magic that lies inside.
It is so foreign to her but she understands,
That the magic grows in tiny strands.
From the chlorophyll to the heartbeat,
She feels like there is a secret she needs.
Her mind is full of wonder,
So much left to ponder.
But she will not waste all the magic in one day,
Because she needs to save it it is better that way.
She hopes that it will not go,
Her mother says that it won't.
So they go inside and the little girl dreams,
Of how the caterpillar and her are on the same team.
