My Muse
I do not write without an inspiration,
For my past causes all my creation.
You know the saying "What happens in the past stays in the past,
But when you hear this you should not say "At Last"
The past makes you stronger you simply cannot forget,
No matter how much some memories make you fret.
Yes the past can be frightening,
But you must remember it can also be exciting.
When you read my art you will see,
That my muse is the past and it is handled delicately.
Everything about the past invites me in,
And you will see that my past was not feminine.
So to you my muse may not make sense,
For all I know it can make you tense.
But still I am sharing this with you,
And to my muse I will be true.
