Heartbreak
Grab a heaping bowl of chocolate ice cream
Stuff it in my mouth while sitting in front of the heater
Calms me down when I wanna scream
Crank up the Taylor Swift
You know she’s got a song for exactly how I feel
Rock on when my soul needs a lift
Text like crazy to my best friend
Go on about everything that’s wrong
She’s a friendly screen when I need to vent
Sob a little into my pillow
Leaving clumpy black mascara stains
No one sees me crack a little
Write a sarcastic answer to a question
Dare to bend the rules a bit
Not sure I want to be around when they grade that section
Do something poorly and say “I tried”
And that’s how you know when I said I was fine
I lied.
