I'm not your baby
Your babe
It grates my nerves
every time you utter the words
I'm not beautiful
pretty
adorable
cute
or any of the other labels
your try to force me into
I am me
simple and plain.
I don't like you
the way that you never say my name
never call me by it
how you try to control me
what I will do in the future
I'm not yours
not any longer
maybe not even in the beginning
and definitely not now.
