Love from Above
I swing back and forth, the wind stings my face
The coolness of night brings a bitter embrace
My toes turn to ice, but I do not care
My heart is too frozen, no emotion to spare
The star shimmer bright, the sky is all theirs
Questions and answers borne form innocent stares
My world was so happy, not white and plain
Now my world is empty, nothing to gain
My breath exits warm, and enters a crisp chill
My throat opens accepting, my lungs hurry to fill
A pain in my stomach, too much to hold
This pain that I'm feeling, It all gets so old
That feeling of hope, a glimmer of love
too big for myself, it comes from above
