Unpredictable Wonder

I help my breath and as I listened he whispered.
"Two years in June."
He came closer and I rested my head on his neck.
He stepped closer and angled my face, for a kiss.
He looked me in the eye.
I wondered if he'd done it on purpose.
Outside, cold air and wind.
"In the past?" I said quietly.
I looked over and rubbed my eyes.
He spun me around.
He wanted us together.
I did too
