Changing Leaves
The changing leaves of a cool fall day.
What a peculiar sight to see.
When raindrops fall, everything gets washed away.
The fall season is just right for me.
The changing leaves of a cool fall nigh.
I watch and inspect them falling as I lie.
From green to yellow and purple to red,
My heart skips a beat as I gaze from my bed.
The sounds of fall are these fresh falling leaves.
It is as though snowflakes slide off the trees.
The leaves flutter and glide as they fall,
As though the Earth is sending out a sweet call.
The changing leaves of a cool fall day,
Keeping me awake,
As I watch, I listen and pray,
For this not to be fake,
And that it never ends – this cool fall day.
