Peppermint Love
The clear wrapper is the window to my candy's soul. The cream white color laced with red ribbons.
As the plastic crackles like a warm fire, I pop it into my mouth.
It dances inside, leaving traces of it's journey on my tongue. As I stick it out I see it's blood has left it's body and it now on mine. It's as white and pure as the snowflakes outside.
I breathe in and it reassures me of it's presence as it echos down my throat.
As I release my breath I notice the greenery above me. Taunting my thoughts. As he approaches with a smile my candy dissolves as I do.
The greenery above allows us to share the candy's leftover taste.
