And I believe what you say is true
Because it seems it's all I ever see
But they always call me incredulous
I can't even contemplate what it means
So we replace these curtains with clothes
Even though they're far to small
And the chipped plates in the kitchen
Well, we'll we won't throw them out at all

In the albums of our childhood
We'd build cards and make jobs
I remember your crooked smile
Like the remnants of a corncob
Just remind me when it comes to castles
We won't let them come around
Because God knows if they see our work
They'll be sure to knock it down

And I believe in what you say is true
Because it seems it's all I've known
We'll ignore them because they're all fools
And I'm sure they'll leave us alone
But we'll keep all of those clothes
Even though they're far too small
And the pictures and the toys
And you favorite patched up doll
